This weekend I decided to take my first crack at baking in Bangladesh. And by baking, I mean buying a box of brownie mix at the US Commissary. They were a HUGE hit at the office and I received several 'thank you' e-mails from staff. My favorite was "Dear madame, thanks a lot for offering us delicious sweetmeats." Bangladeshi-isms always make me smile.
Other recent favorites from the ARA menu include "pinot frigio" wine, a hamburger and "fires," and 'boonless' chicken.
